The Alaska Hunter Jumper Association, AHJA, will be hosting its annual horse show, August 11-14th, at the Alaska State Fair Grounds in Palmer. They put on a great show with a purpose! Each year the AHJA selects a worthy non-profit agency to sponsor and, this year, the Eva Foundation was selected to benefit. For the past 32 years, AHJA has put on a summer horse show that offers hunter, jumper, equitation and novice classes. Riders of all ages come from throughout Alaska to participate.
AHJA will donate all proceeds, above show expenses, to the Eva Foundation. Their past fund raising success includes: $5,500.00 for Covenant House Alaska (2007); $5,600.00 to Stone Soup Group (2008); $6,500 for Abused Women’s Aid In Crisis, Inc.; (2009) and $4,185.00 to Salvation Army’s McKinnell House in 2010.
